    I also read that as tongue in cheek, the lil innocent smily face tells it all. We are all friends here and need to trust each other a little better. On the subject however sometimes finding the information you need can be daunting and scary and a lawyer is helpful in those cases however I also dont believe it is needed. I recently got lucky enough in my line of work to meet the USCIS officer who makes all the final approvals on applications and he has given me much hope for my mom as we were afraid she was going to be denied straight out as she has fallen out of status in order to help me take care of my kids so that I can work since my seperation. He asssured me that once my citizenship is approved (also much easier than I thought it would be) she will be first priority for a greencard and will not even have to pay that crazy 1000 dollar fine application. I was really surprised as we had recently applied for an extension of her i 94 and we were denied so fully and firmly we feared she would be deported within days and we had some scary moments till I found out that week that the person I had been talking to for Months was indeed a USCIS officer.

  8. Nope I was so mad cause we left the week before the event and I had been waiting for that for over a year and when they FINALLY announced the date boy I was fit to be tied. TOK I am also bummed we didnt egt one last hooya in before we left, hubby really wanted to and so did I but those last few months were crazy, we didnt have a single free weekend. Maybe one day our paths will connect again, until then Adios Amigo it was fun and at least we have SAUSA tANIA

OK we have Vonage just not the toll free number, we have a Texas phone number so Hubbys family can call us free, unfortunately it doesnt work for my mom to call free but nonetheless we LOVE LOVE LOVE Vonage, I am not sure who all has had problems but we have never gotten big fat bills, we pay 25 bucks a month for free calls anywhere in the United states and very reasonable rates to SA and we dont have to pay anything extra for any of the features other phone companies charge extra for.....I did not know about the toll free number for 5 bucks and if it actually worked I would totally have invested in it but for now will prolly stick to phone cards www.uniontelecard.com has been great for me. I have convinced Ben that we need to attend next years event since we will only be 5 or 6 hours away, I am so excited about it, my baby girl will be a toddler and my 2 year old will be three so we wont be tooo badly tied down, I am looking forward to it, yep we should totally get Dilana to sing.     Hmm you got me wanting cornish pasty's so I went and found this recipe it should help lots I think Im gonna make it this week help you make the pasties, I have some pictures showing the process I take to make my pasties. Cornish Pasty Ingredients Ingredients for short crust pastry 1lb plain flour 1/2 lb either lard hard margarine or butter or a combination of these pinch of salt cold water to mix (see measure conversions for more information) Method Rub the fat into the flour but not too finely. I sometimes cut the fat into small lumps. Add the salt and then start adding the water gradually until it works together into a ball without being sticky. Put aside in a cool place. Ingredients for filling 3/4 lb beef, not stewing beef raw potato raw Swede turnip small onion salt and pepper a walnut sized piece of butter Method Cut the steak into small pieces but do not mince. Slice potato and Swede into thin, small pieces about half an inch across. Chop onion finely. Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out the pastry to about 1/4 inch thickness. Using a small plate cut out circles (Picture 2 & Picture 3). Moisten the edge with milk or water (Picture 4) and support half of the pastry nearest to you over the rolling pin (Picture 5). On the other half, put a small layer of prepared vegetables then a layer of beef (Picture 6 & Picture 7). Repeat this once but be careful not to have too much filling which would cause the pastry to burst during the cooking process (Picture 8 & Picture 9). Sprinkle sparingly with salt and pepper then add a small bit of the butter (Picture 10). Sprinkle a dusting of flour over the filling (this helps to make the gravy). Fold the other half of pastry which has been resting on the rolling pin over the filling and squeeze the half circle edges firmly together (Picture 11 & Picture 12). Starting at the right side whilst supporting the left side with other hand, using first finger and thumb turn the edge over to form a crimp (Picture 13 & Picture 14). Repeat this process all along the edge (Picture 15). This will come with practice but you must get a good seal. Brush pasty with beaten egg wash (Picture 16) to help with browning process and put a small one inch cut in the centre of the top to allow steam to escape (Picture 17 & Picture 18). Bake in a hot oven 220 degrees centigrade for about 20 minutes then reduce temperature to 160 degrees centigrade for a further 40 minutes. Smaller pasties need less time. If they are browning too quickly cover loosely with greased paper. I hope this recipe helps you create wonderful Cornish Pasties. Good Luck with the process, I hope you find the right solution for you, I ended up marrying my husband in order to stay but that was only because I was going to have to leave and after 18 months of being seperated in a long distance relationship neither of us could face the idea of losing each other again, so our marriage is for love but had our situation been different it would not have been done as fast, I am still not sure if thats a good faith marriage or not lol in the eyes of the INS but I do know I wouldnt change anything for the world, once we were married changing my visa wasnt too hard but the one bit of advice I can give you is that if you do go the married route make sure you do it at least 90 days after you arrive in the States anything before that will be considered getting married out of bad faith and you will have to face a 1000 dollar fine when filing your paperwork, of course this was 4 years ago and things might have changed who knows but I still wish you the very best of luck. I personally can not stick Soy milk as I was allergic to milk as a kid and had to drink that and now I cant even smell it without wanting to gag ewww lol, yep organic milk might be the way to go or you could just check the products you see on the shelves for the RBST free label, that way youre not even really paying more, I used to drink Hollandia till I realised that Knudsen had the RBST free label so now I just get that. Also did you know that Milk in the cardboard cartons is better for you than the milk in the plastic gallons? reasoning is cause Light kills off all the healthy vitamins and minerals. Tania

  20. A mammogram is not harmful to your health, I would rather take the risk of the mammogram over the risk of not finding out about cancer early enough, I know a handful of people who have detected their cancer early through a mammogram and their lives have been saved, thats enough for me. Tania

Darnitt I was just looking at the ingrediants and realised its not what I am looking for sorry, I am lookin for the NOT chocolate fudge lol the fudge I grew up with in SA I think the main ingrediants was condensed milk or evaporated milk with sugar and butter or something to that extent, no chocolate allowed apparently according to my stupid craving sigh Thank you for the help though I really appreciate it

  25. I just bought smarties a month or two ago from one of the places mentioned on this thread already forgot the name not african hut or the lekker one either, I am sure they are sstill selling them...uggh I hate M&Ms too and any hersheys yuck yuck yuck. Tania
