    Delta Airlines 7/13/10

That $6 voucher is shocking. I wonder what excuse they gave for the delays? I'm sure there will be other people on the flight that will stay at the hotel as well, so she should be fine even though the airport will be a ghost town.

    Airfares To Sa

Which cities have direct flights to SA? I know that Atlanta does, but who else? And what airlines?
  5. They don't have any reason to learn English. The government provides everything for them in Spanish. I guess that some of them are also too scared to loose their cultural identity. In some parts of the country the education laws are becoming stricter where the teachers and students have to gain a hign level of English, but in other parts they are becoming more lenient. Are there schools that teach in Spanish only?
  6. I just can't understand how some legal immigrants can be against this act. Seriously??? We go through all this hell because of those ...beep....beep.....beep...
  7. This is a great website for immigration info: http://forums.immigration.com/
  8. But they only extend in extreme circumstances. I don't know anyone who applied for an extension and was granted it. If anyone here has done this successfully, what excuse did you give them?
  9. 1. Assuming that you are able to support yourself financially, what is the longest that a person can stay at a time in the US on a tourist visa? (I am thinking 6 months, but not sure.) Yes, 6 months is the maximum, but that depends on how much time they stamp in you passport. If your friend looks suspicious they may only give him 2 weeks or 3 months. It's completely up to the immigration officer at the airport. 2. Should you be lucky enough to find work, can you apply for the work visa while still in the US on a tourist visa? I may be wrong but I think you can only apply for an immigrant visa and not a non-immigrant visa. From USCIS.gov You can file for an adjustment of status under these conditions: It's extremely risky as, officially, you are not allowed to enter the USA as a Tourist with the intent to Immigrate. 3. Should you get the work visa, can you then simply start working, or do you have to leave the US first and re-enter? I believe you can work even while the application is pending. I don't know the answers to 4 and 5.

That does sound really scary, but I'm sure it will be worthwhile. It's for the kids !!
