Hotel Jobs And Salaries

Recommended Posts

Hello All

Are there any hoteliers out there? My husband is a hotelier - Diploma from Wits Hotel school. Has extensive experience in F and B and hotel mangement at GM level. We are looking to approach Hyatt and Hilton to lodge his CV but wondered is anyone had an idea of pay? He'd be looking at a middle management type post and work himself up from there.

Our areas are California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico.

Hi Annetta

We live in Las Vegas which is a hub for the casino/hotel industry. I know that it was not on your list of priority areas but it would be worth checking it out as it is constantly expanding. Most of the hotel/casinos can be found either under the MGM Mirage or Harrahs groups. The websites are www.harrahs.com & www.mgmgrand.com

You will be able to see all most of the casino/hotels on these websites and the employment/careers that are offered. There is also a detailed job description and list of benefits such as disability, medical, life insurance, 401K. If anything catches your eye, you may e-mail them directly and ask for the salary range.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice Jelebi.

I'd never heard of those hotel brands.

I'd be happy to start off in Vegas - a means to and end, then work my way to Texas.

I don't know if this helps at all, it's out of your state selection. I'm a Chef at the Shertion Hotel in Birmingham AL, which is under the Starwood umerla with six other major hotel names. I know right now the company is expanding and updating all the larger hotels in the South East US and thus hiring new people, and they are really looking for people who know what they are doing and have a background in thier feild of work. I don't know if this helps but if it does you may try talking to them.
