SA Play in Orlando FL, part of 'Red vs Blue' Play Fest

Recommended Posts

Those of you into theatre and arts, and who recall a fairly wild cheerfully trouble making

playwright and comedian Ian Fraser - most notably at Grahamstown Festival - well, his

quest for causing chaos continues in the US, where he's climbing upwards slowly but surely.

A short play of his, about a dead US marine who returns to the family that sent him off

to do his duty and die, to take revenge - is being staged as part of the 'Red vs Blue'

series of seven 'political' short plays, in Orlando, FL.

It's called 'A Dead Soldier in the Family'.

Here's the official information about the Festival:

Red Vs. Blue will be performed at the Valencia Community College East Campus Black Box

Theatre (701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando) on July24-26 and July 31-August 2, 2008, at 8pm.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for students, seniors, and PRT members.

For more information, call (407) 788-9428 or visit our website at www.playwrightsroundtable.org.

Media inquiries: call (407) 761-2683.'

Keep an eye out on the theatre front, because Fraser's just finished a full length play set in South

Africa, dealing with a home invasion and xenophobia in action, called 'Die, the Beloved Country'.
