Jobs help for new immigrants

Recommended Posts

Saw an article mentioning a bunch called Upwardly Global today: https://www.upwardlyglobal.org/

it's a charity that helps skilled new immigrants "translate" their foreign degrees and experience into resumes that work for American companies and assist them in finding work.  Thought it could be useful for new/recent arrivals.

This is their blurb for job seekers:

Upwardly Global provides free job search training and services, online and in person, to help work-authorized, skilled immigrants and refugees like you to rebuild your professional careers in the U.S. We’ve trained more than 11,000 skilled immigrants and helped more than 4,000 return to work in their career fields.

Our Job Seeker Services Program is free for skilled immigrants, refugees, asylees, SIVs, or parolees who meet the following requirements:

Permanent resident/refugee/asylee/affirmative pending asylum status with full work authorization. Review this list of visa types to see if you are eligible for our full program or limited services.
