I would kill for a lamb chop right about now...lol.... in fact, I think this weekend will be dedicated to 'searching for Lamb' ...kind of like in search of the Holy Grail...clippity clop! (in good old Monty Python fashion....) It has been one hellava week. I woke up on Tuesday thinking it was Friday....I was waaaay off! So now I am sipping on chilled Chardonnay and...chilling on SAUSA...... skattie 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2004 Butternut I am not sure where you live but most Costco stores around the country have a very good selection of lamb including chops, NZ racks of lamb and also legs of lamb. (all fresh, i.e. unfrozen).Trader Joe's stores also carry NZ lamb chops and rack of lamb (frozen). Also try asking the butcher at your local supermarket, they will get things in for you. skattie 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2004 um... sorry no idea about the per pound cost...I use lamb shanks for one recipe that I have and it is not that expensive...by that I mean, I don't recall what it costs me for 6-8 shanks but it is not an expensive meal compared to if I were to buy some good fish or steak/skinless chicken breasts for the same amount of people. Lamb chops I usually pay about $9 for about 6 (smallish)chops, rack of lamb is about $13. (would serve 3 people, maybe 4) Does that help? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That maybe able to give you an idea of prices as they do home deliveries of on line purchases so I am sure they have detailed pricing. They also may have their flyers/weekly brochures on the website and that will tell you some of the prices of things.
